Online Guides for Searching the Healthcare Databases

Below are video tutorials and guides on how to search the healthcare databases via the three platforms, Ovid, Proquest and EbscoHost.

The main databases are distributed between these three platforms so you will need to know which platform to access to find the database you wish to search.

  • OVID platform supports Embase, Emcare, AMED, Medline, HMIC and Social Policy and Practice.
  • ProQuest platform supports PsychINFO, BNI, Hospital Premium Collection and PsycArticles.
  • EBSCOhost platform supports CINAHL, Medline, and the Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection

For descriptions of the healthcare databases and where to find them, see the Healthcare Databases page.
